Search broken, or pilot error?
I was trying to find a previous thread in the A4 forum started by an author who used the same subject for both threads, but added "(Updated)" to the second (more recent) one. The more recent thread was started just today.
I tried searching for "My A4 is dead" (both with and without the quotes) telling it to match ALL words, and sort by Reverse Time. Since this thread was just created today, and I used a cut and paste from the thread itself (to ensure an exact match), I expected the latest thread to be the first hit in the list, with the previous thread somewhere behind it.
It wasn't even on the first page! In fact I don't know if it was found at all, because when I didn't see it on the first page I immediately assumed I had done something wrong and went back.
I tried searching by score. Same result.
In fact, there were no hits with *all* of the search keywords on the first page, no matter what I tried. Apparently "match all" is doing the same as "match any".
In fact, there appears to be no way to search for an exact phrase at all. Is this correct, or am I doing something wrong?
There are no longer any search tips available like there were with the old search engine. It is very much like shooting in the dark.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated!
