Default Sig pics

My sig pic keeps getting deleted. It's a very small cartoon file. It's the ONE picture in my picture poster that isn't a photo of a car or a car part.

Suggestion: How about a name for sig pics (one allowed per AW poster) that won't keep getting deleted?

Default We have limited resources for the picture poster

And we have to set the limits somewhere. We don't differentiate between signature pictures and pictures you post. As a result, if it's not Audi related, we'll delete it.

My suggestion is to store the picture somewhere else and link to it.

That seems kind of weak to me, but hey, it's your site.

Suggestion for where to store it? Most places won't let you link thru another site.

Default Yeah, I understand that.

But the criteria seems arbitrary... and weak. The goal is to limit the amount of file space that the audiworld users are taking up, correct? Why not limit the total file space, or number of pictures in the picture poster each user is allowed to have, and then let them fill it as they choose?

Or, as I suggested previously, assign a file name for sig pics so they won't be deleted even if the don't look like they have any "audi content".

People get annoyed when their sig files get deleted. It would be nice to find a way to keep that from happening.

Default You know, this is all clearly explained on the page you use to upload pictures

Very first line, in large text reads "If the picture is not Audi related, DO NOT upload it to AudiWorld."

I don't have much pity if you ignore that and complain that your non Audi related picture was deleted.

Default Dude....

I'm *trying* to give you some feedback to improve the audiworld site here. That's what the feedback forum is for.... right? All I'm getting in response is a condescending "Fvck off." Nice.

Default I don't see how you are trying to make AudiWorld better

You asked a question, I answered it and even gave you a solution to your problem. Unfortunately, you didn't like my answer.

It sounds to me that you have an opinion and since I disagree with you, I'm wrong. Without taking in consideration that we run this site and better understand the site and the things to control resource usage.

If you really want us to change something, give us some real logic behind it.

All I'm saying is that your argument that "people get annoyed when their sig files get deleted" is not convincing. Not only that, it's clear when you upload your picture why it gets deleted.

Default wont let you link??? HEY DUMBASS

search the web...

imagestation.com is free and allows links. does it go down from time to time??? Yes.

Would this board go on without sig pics? yes. Is yours at all funny or audi related? NO. Therefore it gets deleted regularly. Go figure. If you knew how to read, you'd see this disclaimer about the picture poster. If its not audi related its toast.
Its really not that hard to figure out.

Default Re-read my first post.

I am suggesting an allowance for sig pics. I even made some suggestions as to how it might be reasonably done. I can read and even understand the rules you post. Quoting them back to me isn't particularly helpful.

I am not the only one who gets annoyed when their sig pic is deleted. In fact, I really don't care much since my sigs are never fancy and are frequently available elsewhere on the web. But others put some serious effort into the sig pics they use for posting on audiworld. It would be *nice* if they were allowed to keep them in the audiworld picture poster. My first post was actually motivated by a bunch of comments I saw lamenting the deletion of other sig pics that users liked. So, there's your logic.
