TT forum file corruption
If you look at threads near 11/16/01 21:46 you will find new threads dated 9/26/01
If you look at threads near 05/08/01 04:23 you will find new threads dated 3/09/01
If you look at threads near 5/8/99 or 6/1/99 or 6/11/99 or 7/20/99 or 8/22/99 you will find missing pages
Can this be corrected and if so when can we expect it?
Both through my account and anonymously, I can see pages that smoothly go through 9/12/01 17:05 with no jumps on the magnitude you're reporting. I don't actually see any threads made at that time though.
What timezone have you set? I checked pacific and eastern timezones.

Another example try going to page 543. Any good reason page numbers don't increase with time going forward? Would make it simple for keeping track of things with a set thread count.
I did find a problem with a corrupted thread which I fixed manually. I've found a couple of threads like this in the past which resulted from the initial import of the forums from the old software. I'm working on a script to fix these tho. It would have resulted in the server crashing (well, that apache process atleast) and you getting no data back.
As for the page numbers going in reverse, there are 2 reasons for it:
1) Legacy. The old WWWBoard software did that and the idea was to keep the interface similar
2) 99% of hits go to the page with the most recent posts. That'll always be page 1 with this scheme, which is more intuitive to people.
That is why I asked for a better way to reproduce it.
It might be a bug in the software, and not missing data as you suspect. The data is there as far as I can see. Either way, I can't reproduce it given your description.
