UBB Software - Any Plans for Upgrade?
It would be great to have some of the features of other bulletin boards (see Miata.net for a great example). It's easy to see what's new since your last visit, and new messages posted bring a topic to the top (versus having it continue to sit on page 8 where no one will probably ever see it again ...). You can edit your own messages and delete your own posts. (Not to mention adding the cute little smileys that sometimes help convey your true meaning.) Also has a much better search capability; personally I've found that searching the archives is tedious at best. Anyway, just my 2 cents given the number of hits that this site records...

yes, Audiworld.com...when it was A4.org...tried the Ultimate Bulletin Board software...it was a major server hog...and it almost stopped dead. Yes, VWVortex and several other automotive forums use it. I don't see it being adopted here since we already tried it ...and we had issues with it.

Take a trip to <a href="https://www.audiworld.com/forum/m.new/test/">here</a>.
You'll need to login again for the development forums.
You'll see a <font color="blue">tt</font> link after each message. If you click on this, it'll "track" the thread.
What this means is that if anymore posts a message to the thread after you starting tracking it, it'll show up at the top of the thread listing with a different color background.
I'm replimplmenting some parts right now. It may not "untrack" (by reading any message in the thread) a thread, but it should soon.
