Why was this turned into an OT thread?
It is totally on topic. It is about a TT owner creating sigs for other TT owners, posted in the TT forum for another TT owner to read!

why does everyone get so bent out of shape when a post is changed to OT?.......
it's still on the forum, everybody still sees it.
What % of people do you think actually have "view OT posts" turned off? 2%? 3%?

Not bent out of shape at all. Quite a high % have OT turned off. it is the default setting
and most people don't even know how to change the time zone they live in, let alone that there is even an OT aspect of the forums.

Jason, then why have a forum if things can be done via e-mail?
The whole point is this was ABOUT the TT, not about any other Audi. It is something that involves many people on the TT forum. You guys are asking for things to be talked about having to do with the cars for which the forum you are speaking in, I did that.

Email is point to point, forums are point to multi-point
You can use email to communicate between two people efficiently. You can use forums to communicate between lots of people efficiently.
It's that feature of the forums that make them so susceptible to signal to noise problems. Forums have a topic and when you start ignoring them, you defeat the purpose of the topic.
