well the cars have similar hp to weight ratios with the S4 having what you say >>>
are better brakes. That must be the deal plus more tourque for lowend power in auto-x. Seem right?

Car is definitely stock
The only mod is 19" sportec mono 10 wheels with Pirelli Pzero Nero tires. I have done some autocrossing before. The car has the power but the handles like a pig unlike your tt. You just have to learn how to be patient and smooth and relax. Dont treat it as a competetion just go out and have fun on your own while your running that way you dont foul up for being tense.

Edge Racing

You did great...
I agree 100% with the your approch and attitude. I was surprised to find out also what a hp and tourque advantage the S4 has - (even stock it has a lot more tourque then my APR chipped TT)
I haven't auto-xed in like thirty years so I was pumped with my times. Certainlly the fastest of all the TT's for both day IMO. Do you think our local club will be doing more track events on our own in the future? I had a blast getting the car to dance on it's toes :-)

Well as far as events go...
There are a couple of us that have some great events that we attend. There is a club in fort myers called gulfcoastautocrossers they put on a two day test & tune/race event once a month every month except july and august where they break for heat. There is also a club in miami that does events in pompano and hialeah called er and there are other events scattered in between.

The problem that your gonna run into is
due to your mods you will end up in street modified and that puts you with the big boys such as big horsepower light hondas and big power supras and such. In stock class your car woudl fare up against
BS Audi TT (225hp, dual intercoolers) incl. ALMS Coupe
BS BMW M3 (E30) M3 (E36) Z3 6 cyl NOC
BS Chevrolet Camaro SS ('96+) Corvette ('63-'82)
BS Chrysler Prowler
BS Ferrari 308, 328
BS Honda S2000
BS Jaguar XKE (6- and 12-cyl)
BS Lotus Elan RWD Esprit Europa Twin Cam
BS Europa, Renault engine
BS Maserati Biturbo
BS Mazda RX-7 Turbo ('87-'91)
BS Mercedes SLK
BS Morgan Plus 8
BS Nissan 300ZX Turbo ('90+)
BS Plymouth Prowler
BS Pontiac Firebird WS6 ('96+)
BS Porsche 356, Carrera 4 cam 911, Club Sport 911, non-turbo, NOC
BS 914/6 928 (all) 944 (16V)
BS 944 Turbo (all) 968 Boxster
BS Carrera 2, Carrera 4 (964 chassis)
BS TVR 8 cyl and V6
BS Toyota MR-2 Turbo
So thats the problem. I think in stock you can fare decently if the car is setup properly.
