Review: Brighthouse cable digital recorder
We finally ordered it after coveting Studdard's Replay TV for the past couple of months. The only cost is $6 extra per month (the box is free). I can record 2 channels while watching a 3rd channel, and you can choose movies/shows on HBO, SHO, MAX anytime; I can pull up any Soprano's episode from the last season anytime I want. And, you can pull up all of MAX's soft **** at any time...pausing during the good parts.

Let me know if yours does this..
1) Random reboots itself
2) Randomly decides to not recording any of your scheduled shows, have to manually reboot to fix
3) Says it is recording something, but really isn't
4) Sometimes stalls for 5-10 seconds while changing channels or when stoping a recording in progress
I'm hoping mine just has some crappy firmware from being an early model. If yours doesn't do this, I may request a new unit.

not that I know of, but I havn't tried to finds hacks for it either
Something may be out there however.. theres only a few boxes being used throughout the country.

Yea, comes through the cable company. ...
it has some USB outputs, but I hear that they are not usable at this time. I still have a lot to learn about it.
