TPMS Question
Hello -
I recently had some tires put on and I think the installer accidentally broke the
TPMS sensor in at least 1 wheel.
VAGCOM tells me there is a communication failure, but I'm not sure which wheel is the problem.
Is there a way to decipher the fault code to know which wheel might be the problem?
Any other way to tell? Some scanner? I heard that the wheel sensors have a battery that eventually fails, but given that the failure happened right after my new shoes were installed...
I could bring it to the dealer, but thought I'd ask here first.

There is also a vagcom forum here on audiworld as well..
but he responds very quckly by email. As long as you are an actual Ross-tech customer, he is happy to help you by email..

Got an answer on the Touareg forum...posting here for posterity
"Go in with the VAG COM and take measurements (controller 65 if I remember correctly). Channels 01, 04, 07, and 10 show the pressure values. A bad sensor or receiver (much less likely) will reveal itself. To figure out if it's the sensor or receiver, swap the wheel."
