Default Yo Ross, PT Turbo numbers, I'm going to assume the numbers you gave were for the new Neon

PT Turbo tested, 7.2 best 0-60 (Chrysler claims 7.5) and quarter mile of 15.7 at 88mph. Hardly what I would consider getting walked away from. Turbo Neon is another story, 0-60 in 5.9 (no quarter mile times). Even Stage III it will be tough to keep up with a stock turbo Neon. Then again, it is a Dodge so, it'll be fast, when it runs

Default While at SEMA I spoke to one of the guys on the develpment team for that Neon.

He was saying they left A LOT of room for improvement/modification. He said with minor changes to boost control the car could easily hit 300BHP. The car comes with a LSD so getting that kind of HP to the ground wont be too much of an issue. The car looks very good in person...

Default Actually.. Those Neons have been quite popular for slower track stuff.. add some power

and they might be pretty competetive. I used to autoX against some of them and they would spank a Vette or 911 with their weight and ind. suspension.

Default Yeah I know.

There were two running in Jacksonville (Whitehouse Field SoloII). Both drivers were locals. A friend of my cousin said one of them made it to Nationals (is that what they call it?) a couple years back.

Default I haven't read the C&D numbers but I heard they pulled 14.2 1/4mile.

Whether is was a rigged car I'm not sure.<ul><li><a href="http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caranddriver/roadtests/2002/december/0212_roadtest_srt4.xml?&amp;page=1">http://www.caranddriver.com/xp/Caranddriver/roadtests/2002/december/0212_roadtest_srt4.xml?&amp;page=1</a</li></ul>

Default They don't come with an LSD stock. Just equal length shafts which should help a bit.

I'm sure Mopar has got one in the works though. This car is going to have a great market for tuners though I heard they are only going to make around 5,000 a year.

Default 14.2 is pretty fast, and since its a Neon, **** I need more power.

I'm going to get walked by a true **** box.

See we were talking about the PT Turbo at the club meeting when you said we'd get walked. Thats why I was like "wha... it only makes 15 more HP, how the hell is it running 14s?". Now I see you were talking about the Turbo Neon.

EVEN MORE REASON TO STAGE III !!!
