Default Misfire advice BT with cams

I'm running the GIAC BT tune with 93 octane, at idle (1000Rpms) I have random misfires cylinder four / two are the worst 25~50 misfires, cylinder one and three around 4~10. Once I break 1750 rpms no more misfires. I've tried: plugs (factory,IK22,IK24), gaps(.26,.27,.28,.30), injectors(Siemens 3172 55lb 575CC), coil packs, different speed sensors, etc and have yet to come up with any combination that takes care of it. I had the same symptoms with the old factory software and my old eurospec head.

Could it be the cam position sensor? Commonly called the HAL?

Could it be the schrick cams intake 252 exhaust 260?

Could it be the weight of my harmonic balancer it is 3.4lbs, Eurospec used a 2.2lbs?

Could it be that I need to get variable gears on the end of my cams to try to adjust the amount of intake or exhaust separately?

Perhaps I need to tune in more timing at idle?

Default Turbo size w/determine spark gap -higher flow = closer gap. Cams arent prob. if installed correctly

I run a mmuch larger set of cams w/no prob. Adj. gears are useful to move power band, not cure prob. you are referencing. If you used anything from EUROSPEC, TO ME THAT WOULD BE SUSPECT AT LEAST GIVEN THE 2 ENGINES i HAVE SEEN THEM SELL TO THE UNSUSPECTING. It may be that you need more coil, it may be the tune, was it done for the combination you are using? Need more info on your setup. Have you logged the problem w/a VAG tool? that is where you should start. Take it back to the tuner if nothing else shows up. Very few do a good job on large turbos IMO, check into Dahlback

Default Yep EuroSpec Run as far from their items as possible

Working with my tuner (remotely), and using vag com / scangauge. No the tune wasn't specifically written for this config, it's being adapted. thanks

Log your cam sensor thru a misfire sequence. Does engine backfire @ any point?

Default Re: Log your cam sensor thru a misfire sequence, do you know the vag block?

I know 014/015/016, for misfires, but what do you log for the cam / hall sensor?
