Default I don't know yet. Haven't run it hard. Looking at the Group B

cars which ran Kevlar hoods they didn't have any vent holes cut. I'm anticipating venting the hot air out a great deal. I've wrapped the downpipe, shielded the fender and routed all the wires and vacuum hoses away from the heat. I don't want a heat issue when I run the car for 30minutes in Texas heat.

Default To the right of the intercooler

Catches oil vapor from the crankcase and cams. I don't want to recirculate oily O2 poor air.

Default Indeed...

Christian (From Euroworks) Has a very similar turbo setup running on his 034 10vT coupe, i have a pic of his setup in my picture poster, his heat wasnt bad but he ran into alot of shielding stuff to take care of. Looks nice, wish i had the space for a project track car

Default One true wastegate, the smaller one is not currently used.

it will be a bypass to keep the turbo spooled but that'll happen after I get the car running normally.

Its an anti-lag setup that Audi tried in the mid 80s. Essentially dumping unburnt fuel into the exhaust and using the turbo to feed O2. Works like a jet turbine and had NO lag. Not anti-lag, more like No LAG. Once you got on throttle the 2nd wastegate shuts or partially shuts and all that air goes into the engine at full tilt. Whatever the engine can't drink up is sent right back into the exhaust to keep the turbo spinning. Instant full boost all the time. It was good for 30 minutes stints. The cars would idle at 4000rpm and the turbo would be glowing red hot at idle. Eventual failure was burned exhaust valves.

Default Mine was gettign pretty hot... could see the hood warping after sustained WOT

I need to put a sheld over the top of the turbo, and i need wrap and box that mug in.... I was just doing 3rd gear pulls on the freeway uphill, and when i came off the freeway, i could see the heat coming off the hood in waves, so i looked at the hood, only to see that hood had risen about a half inch or so in distortment... Pretty pissed to say the least... Now i have the hood liner back in to give some protection, but it needs to be properly taken care of...

And james... lookin sweet.... Is that your own homebrew Can?? Me like... i need to figure out something before everything looks like the alaskan pipeline... One question..is that just a samco 90 comin off the inlet for the airfilter?? how is the box commin along...

hmmm... Hope i get some cool stuff at Sema... hehe
