Default Complicates things a touch I think.

Now we have one forum for the engine issues and at least one other for model specific fault. I don't think there is much to gain here... but time will tell. I'm betting this will become an 80/90/100/200/4000/5000/V8/etc. forum.

Default I Agree... and personally, I think we should just do a 80/90/100/200/4000/5000/V8/S4 forum.

All of us combined would still create less traffic than the B5 S4 forum alone... and we could avoid juggling 100 different forums. Plus, I have a S4, 90, and 5000... so it would sure make my life easier =)

I think it'll become a performance forum for the I5.

Default Right but thats is OT when people don't have an S-car

So if someone is doing an 20V turbo conversion on an Audi 4000 Quattro using a 3b motor from a 200 Quattro where do they go?

This way we can all gather under one roof and talk about 10V and 20V motors! This way you S car guys don't have to sift through post after post of 20VT guys who don't have S-cars (like me). My car doesn't have a single AAN component, but i've posted to the S-car forum. Now I don't have too and I can stay on-topic.

Since this forum is inherently cross platform, I think it'll be for the people doing engine swaps, major upgrades beyond chips and custom work.

Default imho, theres too much traffic now to maintain this posting format...

I know there's folks here who love it, but imo there sooo much garbage to sift though on a daily basis that AW should seriously consider moving to a more common internet forum format...where the 'really good' posts keep on going... ...and the troll ones float on by...

I know, I know...going OT here...

I just like talking 'Audi', not crap, if I wanted crap, i'd sign on to a 'crap forum' or stick to the AW OT/Feedback forums

Default I agree withing reducing NOISE and keeping things On Topic.

Thats one of the reasons why the Motorgeek forum works so well. It stays on-topic and off-topic stuff goes to the off-topic forum. I'll shutup now.

Default I guess it's a matter of preference. Most of us are "Old audi guys" not just S car.

Personally I enjoy sifting through your stuff... it's always interesting and relevant to the cars and motors whether it's directly related to my car or not.

but I see you point, we can just surf multiple forums.

Default But for everyone of you, there might be 3 or 4 silent types who don't want to sift through

non-AAN stuff even if its a 20VT. So who knows? I'd rather not even venture pissing in someone else's pool if I can avoid it. So this forum is good for all us Heinz 57 Motors.
