KX block on boost...?

KX block on boost...?
How suitable for mild boost is the KX bottom end? I have been working on a complete MC2 setup for my 84 coupe, but now have an 86 coupe that is much more worth the swap...and so naturally since funds are limited, I'd rather just freshen up the 86's KX block and throw the turbo setup on that.
Is it reasonable to expect durability from such a setup while boosting 8-10psi?
