low compression?

Default low compression?

my 82 Coupe Gt has been smoking like crazy lately. it's a 2.2 I5 with just over 200k on it. tested the compression today, but i was in a hurry so i did it with the engine cold, and i did not put any oil in the cylinders. read 80psi +/- 1-2 psi on each cylinder after 4-5 revolutions. all spark plugs pulled and throttle wide open. i think it's time for a rebuild, but i am open to any suggested tests before i begin the teardown.

??? k miles or ???? KM ???? Doesn't matter any way, 80 psi are too low and my minimum compression always do 120 psi ! ! Probably, time to overhaul your engine. x19

i re-tested the compression using the same gauge without any extra attachments, and got 130 psi +/- 1-2 psi on all cylinders. (turns out the o-rings on the adapters were leaking.) and i apologize for my careless abbreviation. it has 200320 miles on it. i'm pretty sure the blue smoke is coming from leaking valve guide seals. it only smokes when i take off from idling for 5 minutes or longer. once i blow out all the oil that's accumulated in the cylinders from the seals, it burns clean. it didn't seem like i was losing any power, and my coolant and oil hadn't turned to chocolate milk, so i was pretty sure my head gasket and rings were okay. i had to clean out the pcv system because it had started to build up pressure and caused oil to leak out of the valve cover...so at some point i'll make some time to put in new seals and valve cover gasket.
