MAC11 computer/harness with MC-2 engine..

Someone suggested to use the MAC11 set up with the MC-2, this way chipping the computer wont cost a bundle. I'll be using megasquirt, but the ignition still has to be upgraded, which the stock computer will still control.
So my main question: could you actually wire an MAC-11 harness to the MC-2 engine? Kind of have doubts. I remember plugging in an MAC-11 computer to the 200's MC-2 and nothing happened (no spark or anything) maybe I just ended up frying the computer

yes the whole harness can be wired into the mc2. i think you just need to change the dizzy? i can't remember if they're the same or not, 5 window or 1 window.

the only realy differences are the knock sensor. so you just leave 1 of those holes empty. i have a friend here in the cities with an 80 that has an MC2 engine and mc1 ecu/harness running it. we put MS on it this winter and it runs great!

either way, you still need to screw with swapping an entire harness. i may know of 1 or 2 available that are labeled and pulled already. lemme know andrew!

If you still have the spare ECU you tried?

I am going to be picking up an Audi 200 that I know the ecu got fried due to a waterhose incident. I would love to give it a try and tell you what happens...You could also post for some people near your area that you could swap the ecus with momentarily.

Well I think you were the one who suggested it in the first place. I'm pretty sure I'll do it. I have a 5ktq parts car in which I could pull the harness from, but if it becomes a problem I'll let you know if I need one.
