Default Advice on turbo swap?

so my k03's wastegate actuator leaks all boost.
i'm cheap, so although this is the perffect excuse to upgrade, there are myriad reasons that i can't, or at least shoudln't, right now.

so i got a used k03 from Ray Khan for cheep, now i gotta put it in. i read Don Pavlik's post in the tech section about his k04 install, and when i asked myself, "Self, Can I do the install myself?", the answer wasnt confidence inspiring, even though i'd like to give it a shot.

Is there anyone (like you sIII peeps) round these parts who'd be interested in supervising for the usual fare, or should i just go schedule with Pro-Imports, Induktion, or carl at the Auto Shop?

besides, i'd love to meet some more of you

Default I don't mind helping...

The hardest part of the install is the cat-dp bolts. PITA!

Default Don't let Ed convince you to duct tape the cat to the dp

when you reassemble. It just doesn't work...no matter what Ed says!

Default I've done 2 K03 and 1 K04 installs in the last few months...

I'll do it for some money if you want.

Default I've seen Roger do a K03 swap ...

He may have made it look easy, but it didn't appear to be too bad. 6 bolts, some oil lines, some coolant lines.

Could be worse, it could be a 2.7 with TWO bad KO3s AND require pulling the engine! :P
