seems a little excessive for 10 juvenile piranahs...
I used to have a 55 gallon with 12 in it and it was plenty of room for them for quite a while. never had any problems with them being in too close quarters and being agressive towards eachother, well other than the normal nibbling of the fins which will happen no matter what size tank you have.

its used or new?
if new thats a good price, if used its not. I used to work at a pet shop (quite a while ago, maybe 6-8 years or so) and the standard was $100 for both the stand and tank for a 55 gallon. i sold my old 55 gallon and stand for $100 total a while back.
