just curious... does ACNA use the chicane at the top of the hill? or allow the jump?

Default I doubt 90% of the cars in the DE could actually get the car off the ground...

I go full throttle off and I barely get light in the seat...it would be a shame if they didn't use the jump...

Default where?

The red lines that Fairfax posted is how I've seen ACNA ran it... depending on which pit-in is used, the downside is very short cool off segment between flag and pit-in (for the turbos).

I ran w/ other groups (ie: Mazdadrivers.com) that runs the pit straight (as opposed to T18 "Ram's Head")... lots of tight concrete walls on both sides and the line is to hug the inside wall as you literally DROP down into the pit straight, and listen to the exhaust echoing off the walls as u rev out 2nd gear down pits straight! Lots of fun but a bit scary look'n if one looks @ the walls.

Default Used the "jump" last time I was there. I could get the C32 light and spin the wheels, but...

... I wouldn't call it a "jump" for me. Faster, ligher cars can get air. There's a video floating around showing a Subaru jumping and coming down in bad shape, over correcting, and "swirling" into and out of the bowl (karrusel) and hard into the tire wall.

For a very fast car, the jump is pretty dangerous.

That track is SO not ready for prime time.

Default <puts physics Prof coat on> Actually, to jump or not to jump...

is independent of a car's mass. It's purely a speed thing... if a car can speed up beyond the threshold mph, both a semi-truck and a miata will get tires off the ground, a that same mph.

Goes back to Galileo & the leaning tower of pizza(sp?) thing.

Default Won't be there do to work. Then again, if I was off I probably wouldn't go because I don't like the

track much at all.
