Default Brown was good to me today...

...in the form of my new track shoes! Thanks to Edge Racing for the painless order!

Flik Ftds in 17x8 shod in 235/40 Toyo Proxes RA-1s...

Unofficial bathroom scale says 43.5lbs. For reference, the Kosei 18s were 49.0lbs with new rubber and the stocker 17s were 49.0lbs with shot rubber.

Flik on the front, Kosei on the rear...

Plenty of clearance for the 996 calipers...

Will certainly have rubbing issues with my unrolled fenders...

At $99 for the wheel and $172 for the tire, a whole corner costs slightly more than a Hoosier or Michelin Pilot Sport Cup alone. I'm not out to set any track records so the RA1s are plenty and plus at $99...who gives a crap if a wheel gets scratched or bent???

Thx, simple wheels for a simple purpose, just how I like 'em.

Default Hmm. Was looking at those today, by coincidence. $79/wheel for 16x7,

16lbs, can't beat that. If they keep that price until the end of the year, I may get these as an Xmas gift to myself.
