Garage Heater BT continued...
So about a month back I bought an infrared electric heater on eBay... it was $50 shipped, compared to $100 for the identical model at Costco.. Anyway, it was advertised as a like new, open box item and when I got it looked brand new.
Long story short, I turned it on in the garage and the heat output was an absolute joke.... You could stick one inside of a medium sized dog house and keep the dog kinda warm, but thats about it.
So I put it back on ebay, with the same description, and it sold for $8 less... not too bad of a loss for a lesson learned....
Today I checked my feedback, and sure enough, I had a new positive, from the buyer of the heater...
item dosent heat as well as i had hoped for - INFRARED Work Shop Garage Heater
Priceless!
P.S. Moral of the story, get propane burners if on a budget :-)

I thought we told you that, no?
unfortunately elec ones are useless. I have one at my folks house (looks like a pedistal fan), and it's only useful if you stick it right next to you... but otherwise, not much use.

Last i checked a propane heater gives off carbon monoxide...
yeah a little late but...
isn't that bad to breathe in? Plus you think its wise to mess with some of the FLAMMABLE chemicals in an enclosed area with an ignition source?
and no i don't trust the ones that say "Indoor Safe"

yup, propane's very clean compared to tailpipe...
Rog, get a CO detector in there (if not already)... just in case.
Other combustible chemicals... if their fumes in the garage are concentrated enough to cause combustion, then u don't need a propane heater to set it off. A light switch would trigger the KaBoom. Of course, be somewhat smart and don't let the radiant heat from the heater warm up those chemicals...
I used a propane heater all thru the winter 2 yrs ago while building up my Miata...
