No, there's nothing on the tickets about a 10 mph leeway. And the cameras zap whatever they're programmed to. The MVA website says something lame about how 2-3 mph above the limit won't get a violation. That leaves it to drivers to guess what the "real" speed limit is (as in, what's the magic number that separates winners and losers).

um, I guess its speeding just like 31 in a 30 zone. And just like jay walking, turning without signaling at 3 am when no one else is around, and moving your car from a 2-hour spot 125 minutes after you first parked. Being a lawyer, I guess I'm more sensitive to blending into one mass of illegality technical deviations and truly harmful or risky behavior.

Free country, you don't have to accept anything, just my opinion. And I'm not running for office or lobbying the legislature, so I don't really care who supports my view. Hence my venting warning/disclaimer

BTW, even though I got burned once myself, I agree w you 1000% on redlight cameras. That absolutely is a safety issue.

No!!!! If you break the law man up, you being a lawyer and all should know that better than most. If I got a speeding ticket at a camera where I constantly was speeding in that area then why am I gonna bitch because I am stupid?
