Default Paging Cheeky / VirginS4me...

...I recall one of you guys referring to a Not-as-expensive-as-a-big-brake upgrade. I think my rotors are starting to go, but am considering knocking out all 4 corners.

Thoughts? Advice? Anyone?

Default i know for the a4 you can do an a8 upgrade

not sure if thats compatible on the allroad or not. but tirerack does sell oem size rotors, made by brembo at pretty good prices. maybe try emailing mike kim from purems.com (info@purems.com) and see what he says too

Default ECS Two-piece here, on the front.

I have the two piece rotors, at around $600/set. They are lighter, and you replace the rotor ring in the future, instead of the whole rotor.

Other than that, I'd look at their stock slotted/cadmium plated rotors, which is what I have in the rear.

I'd recommend changing your pads at the same time, and the I can help you there as well. I thnk Molly just got the two piece, but I can't remember.

I'm in Mrytle Beach, wishing I was hitting the littel white ball, but I'm working....There seems to be a course at every turn here!

....ugh...back to work...

Default I don't know how good your calipers are, but I did the ECS A8 upgrade, and even w/ 2-pc rotors I had

maaaaajor brake fade at VIR this weekend. I could stand on the pedal and hardly stop enough at the end of the straights. Partly had to do with the fact I didn't put my track pads in. I need to get my SS lines on and go with an even HIGHER temp Motul than what I have and make sure to use my track pads, but I just don't feel my calipers have enough clamping power to stop the heavy wagon.

Default Well, I know that the allroad and the B5 S4 share the same brake setup...

...can anyone shine some light on this, or am I talking out the side of my neck?
