Some observations from today... A little random...
Sorry for the twitter, just wanted to share...
1-I went with a friend to a doctors appt. this morning at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center hospital in DC. She had to get a shot of steroids in her foot for an injury from a few years ago in the Navy... she's fine and will be an a removable walking cast thingy for about 4 weeks. Anyway, I just couldn't believe the conditions in that place... obviously hospitals tend to be somewhat depressing places, but this one is probably the worst I've seen... I'm used to the ritzy hospitals like GWUH... but I guess when the government pays for it then its a bit different. It was like all the bureaucracy of local DC government and your local DMV all rolled into one.
2-Commuters driving into DC in the mornings on 66 East are idiots... I can't imagine doing that every day. What moronic drivers! I did get 2 thumbs up for the car from random people stuck in traffic though.
3-Still hungover from the Beer Tapping last night at Gordon Biersch... good to see Paul and Dave out :-)
4-Heading to NY/NJ in 2 hours to pick up some new car toys :-)
5-Found two pretty entertaining videos from Japan... <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWQR36dW0GA">Sushi conveyor</a> and the <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKOEQVgONh0&feature=channel">Train</a>...
Cheers,
R.

the train video reminds me of taking the train to the mountains in Poland for a ski trip
the only difference is that in Poland people would pull each other up through the windows to get inside, I guess Japanease are too "cultured" for that.
