Default Well, The National Capital Chapter of BMW CCA officially sucks

Hi Jim -

The March 2008 Drivers' School is now closed. I'm sorry to notify you that
you did not make it into this event.

My standard policy is to completely destroy your check and application in my
crosscut shredder. If you would like your check returned, please send me a
SASE and I will put it in the mail to you shortly.

Thanks for your interest in this school. I hope to see you at the track
soon for another driving event.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Please, as if I'll ever run with this club, ever. They have the most archaic, convoluted, backwards registration process ever. Apparently, if you own a BMW, follow all of the registration guidelines and timelines, you still don't get in. I'm glad the notification process provides sufficient time for a person to prepare and get ready for the event, in the unlikely chance that you actually get in. It's being held on March 15th.

That's what you get for trying to start seeing another club on the side!

Subject: Re: BMW CCA Membership Number Request

Hi Heather:

Will you please cancel my entire BMW CCA membership? I no longer wish to be a member of this club and am not interested in any of the mailings either.

I understand that I've already paid the membership fee for the year. I also understand and agree to forfeit the fee in the interest of having the membership cancelled immediately.

Regards,
Jim

Default I need Summit-Main seat time!

The track that's in our own back yard, and I never get out there.

Marc tells me that Summit doesn't give ACNA any love.

Am I allowed to see TrackDaze on the side? :P

Default It's a shame it doesn't bother them as much as not getting into the event bothered you.

I feel like that whenever I stop doing business with a company that doesn't treat me well. But, as in your case, I just remind myself I've saved myself from future headaches. And it sounded like the BMW Club was heading that way in a hurry.

I'm sorry you had a negative experience. I enjoyed the MBZ Club, albeit 99% of the events were clearly marketed towards the 65+ crowd. Though I imagine with the surge of AMG sales, that's probably changed in recent years.
