Does anyone know the 0-60 and quarter<br>mile times of a 1996 Audi S6. My <br>friend and I have been having an<br>argument on how fast his car is<br>compared to my mom's 740il. I know<br>the S6 is a lot quicker but I would <br>like to know how much quicker.<p>Jake

Straight from my S6 brochure. The factory claims 6.2 0-60 time for the S6. The brochure did not list times for the quarter mile.<p>Tom<br>1994 S4

Tom is right, 0-60 times with the stock S6 were 6.2 seconds. I don't believe Audi brought 96 S6s over to the US. I had a 95 S6. It had a Tap chip, a K&N filter, and Eibach progressive rate springs (lowered the car 1 and a 1/4 inches). The car did 0-60 sprints in the low 5s, I would bet. I can't wait for the new S6s to get here. I'll let Steve chip that twin turbo 6 to 325 hp!<p>Rick <br>
