A6 performance upgrades??

A6 performance upgrades??

Just took delivery of new A6. Other than a chip, that yeilds smallish HP gains, what can I do to upgrade the performance. GRRATEFUL for all replies. The 2.8 in the A6 is SLOW!

W Ross:<p>Garret Integrated Autmotive Corp. (http://www.dvol.com/~users/gal/giac.htm) offers a chip set upgrade for Audi/VW ECUs and Tiptronic chips. The combo adds about 12 hp to the 2.8 V6 and supposedly decreases the shift response latency in the tip from about 1 sec to .2 seconds. I haven't tried it myself but on various websites (mostly VW Passat) the feedback on the upgrade has been favorable. Beyond that other than a supercharger listed for the A4 version the mods I have heard about are tires, shocks, springs, air filters and spoilers/foils.<p>Hope this helps.<p>Dennis<br> 98 A6QS
