Same prob. w/ my Coupe; a cleanup of the multifunction harness connector cured my problem
I don't know if the non-20V engiens were the same or not, but this multi-function sensor had a rubber boot aroudnit with a whole series of wires in the connector. Turned out moisture had gotten into mine, corroded the connnections. Opening it up and cleaning the contacts with WD-40 solved my gauge problem. Look for a large rubber boot pointing downwards with a bunch of wires sticking out the bottom.
