Changing the ATF in an Audi80

Is it possible to change the ATF on my own? What do I need to keep in mind? also, what grade ATF should i be using? the manual simply says Dexron, but the only Dexrons i can find are the DexronII and DexronIII.

It would be great to be able to get a step by step process. the toughest maintenance i've done myself on the car was replacing the radiator fan belt

Drop trans pan and change filter too!

Then you'll need to change the fluid in the torque converter. This can be accomplished by
adding quarts, driving, and siphoning out through the dip stick tube. Do so untill fluid removed looks and smells just like the new stuff your putting in.

Recommend a synthetic oil!

I run Mobil 1 synthetic trans oil.

Also ya might want to check/change your differential oil.
