Climate Control
The heater blower on my 89 200 QT comes on only if I rap upon it with a screwdriver handle (brushes are obviously sticking.) My Bently manual tells me to remove heater box and replace the "Fresh air Fan."
1. How hard is this job? Must I really remove the center console within the passenger compartment?
2. Should I fix the blower?
3. Where should I look for replacement at reasonable price?

Job is rather easy, but labor intensive. Alot of taking things apart and reassembling...4-6 hours of work depending on your mechanical ability. As far as my 88 5000(older brother of your 200)there was no need to remove the center console at all. Everything was accesable from the plenum cover under the hood...
Should you fix it? Yes. Keep in mind there have been stories of bad blower motors catching on fire...

I used them to replace the blower in my 87 TQW and they worked just fine.
WRT replacement motor sources, I bought mine at Autobahn Performance in Atlanta as it is local for me and very good prices. You may also want to contact Linda or Didi at Carlsen Audi in California as their prices are good as well.
