As far as I know, the 5000s "custom" is a regular 5000s dressed with the cs's amenities...like trip computer,leather,etc...so basically it's a 5000cs with no quattro/turbo and the automatic tranny...I am assuming this due to the fact that I have never seen a non turbo, non quattro automatic Audi 5000 with the "cs" badging in my life...if someone know's more about this, chime in. Seem's to me the "custom" term likes to be used by used car dealership's and insurance agencies...

i own the "custom" avant
i have the "cs" 5000, it doesn't have the badging, but it has all the CS trim. the window sticker said "custom interior", it's an auto (crap) and is just as slow as all the other 5000s'.
although it eats gas, and has been dyno-tested at 135hp without a turbo (and i'm sure it doesn't have a turbo, it's even got the big hole under the hood where the turbo went on the CS.
it's wierd, and it added about 3,000 on the window price ( a ****load in 1986)
