Default Dashboard switch lights

The center dash switches (Heated seats, anti-lock, fog light) no longer light up in my 91' 100. Can they be taken out and the bulbs replaced?? or is it a matter of replacing the complete switch?? Do these switches "pop" out if I remove the radio and can get behind them ???
Any help would be appreciated.
Gordie

try the link below... I'm thinking the switches are probably the same as those in the 80/90 models. 20V.org has a very detailed write-up on how to change the light bulbs in the older Audi switches.

http://audi.rennlist.com/</a

On my 200 it was easy,
Take the radio out, (insert 4 pins into the holes in the radio) and push the switchs out from behind, it's easier to seperate the switch from the wiring harness... But don't drop the harness! It will be a bitch to get back out ... although if you do drop the harness use a coat hanger and fish the harness back out.
Open the front and the bulbs are right there. Get the bulbs from any VW/Audi dealer. They simply pull out (I used needle nose pliers to get at some of the deeper bulbs) and replace.
Good luck !

Default I've done the seat heater switches on CQ before....

The seat heater switches are the ones with non-replaceable bulbs, but you can do by soldering a new bulb in place. It was pretty easy, just follow the instructions on 20v.org and you will get it right. Takes a while, but works and matches the rest of the interior lights perfectly.

As for the rest of the switches, just pop off the face of the switch with a flat head screwdriver, and pull the bulb out, and put one in!
