Multi_Function Sending Unit Sensor for 86 5K.
The coolant temperature gauge of my 86 5K is intermittent in operation for a year now. I took it out and cleaned the terminals. Did not do it. Sounds like I need a new sending unit, doesn't it? Wonder where could I find one with good price. Audiquattroparts.com has it for $55. Somehow I remember people mentioned that you would be able to get one for about $30.<p>zhaoming

Careful!
An intermittent guage can also be caused by a faulty thermostat. I would change the thermo anyway, since it's only about $10-$15. and then see if the guage is flakey. I think $55 is pretty good for a switch. Don't know where you'd find one for less.
