Rotor Replacement
Hi Guys:
I am changing the rototrs on my '95 90 this weekend. Are there any special things I need to know or is this pretty straight forward on these cars? I am putting on ATE Power disks - does anyone have experience with these? Also, how are the rotors mounted to the hub? Thanks for your help.

Return the rotors and get Zimmermans....
myself and many other people have had problems with the ATE's. I had them on my last car (95 90q) and they warped after several K miles. Wet weather performance sucked too. Follow the link to the A4 forum, I'm not the only one.
As for install it's easy, remove caliper (2 17mm bolts if i remember) and the rotor should come right off. It may be rusted on and a mallet may be needed to get it to come off. You'll need a large C clamp or brake tool to push the piston back in the caliper. I used the C clamp.

i had ATE Atom Slotted rotors and Mintex pads in chicago..and the rotors and pads where toast in 6months time. i then put on Zimmermann rotors and Resma Gold racing pads and had them of for about a 1 1/2yrs. and love them...if u want great prices on these rotors and pads...contact randy at Midtex Audi& Porsche in Naparville, IL. 1630 904 5745 or u can look in the back of European Car mag. in the back and see his ad for his #888. tell randy Bimmerslayer sent you..he will hook u up..and my rotors are still in great condition and the pads put out very little dust..BMWSLYR
