Upgrading Climate control...

Has anyone done this in a '93-'95 Audi 90? I have the manual controls and I have to remove the dash next spring to replace the Evaporator. While I'm in there I figure I should try to upgrade to the electronic Climate control to make the job worthwhile. I assume this must be possible as it is an available option. Does anyone know what's involved, how difficult would it be if so and are the CC's from different models compatible (i.e. 92-older 90's, CQ's, 5K's, etc.)?

Well this is just my personal opinion, but with the frequency of automatic climate control problems I keep hearing off, I would be happy to just stick with the manual controls you have now...IMHO. However if you were going to put in a brand new control unit-I think that is your best bet. Used stuff could be problem later on...I also dont think that the 5k or older stuff is compatiable-(not to familiar to the 93-95 90 though so I could be wrong...)Also not sure how complicated the change over would be...you should go over to the Audifans.com site and try asking them.
