My friend rob and I drove down to my shore house in manahawkin nj on friday night. We got up early on saturday and drove to millville for the event, took about 45 minutes from manahawkin. On the way there we ran into a HUGE thunderstorm. I'm talkin raining so hard you could only see about 5 feet in front of you. At that point we wer at the point of no return. we hung out at a gas station for about 30 minutes figuring the event was going to be shot out all day. We both said we dont give a fvck were still gonna check it out. as we get closer the rain dies. we wait about a hour for them to dry the track off. then we had the pre ride meeting. No wheelies No passing, no stoppies and last but not least, you crash it you bought it.

the bikes!! there were a couple different setups
they had the stocker, stocker with termi dual pipes and stocker with termi 2into 1 pipes. the stocker was a bit abrupt on off idle throttle response. where as both termi setups were nice and smooth. they also had two s hypermotards as well. also some of them had different seat configurations. a stock seat, a gel seat(which lowered the seat height) and the race seat which actually raised the height)

this guy in front of me hit his brake 1/4 into the straight while I was WOT coming out of the last turn. I had to really get on the brakes hard in order to not hit him. next lap he did it again but I knew. I was def annoyed about it. full leathers and riding like that? gimme a break!(haha I guess he did, literally)

Notice in this pic the guy in black is holding his hand up. well he went off the track and i think it scared the **** out of him so he held up his hand signaling he was getting off the track.

because of the guy pulling over. this actually gave me time to slow down and space out from the guys I was following so I could ride faster till i caught up. at this point we were half a lap in back of the guys following the leader(who at this point was 1/3 ahead of the guys following the leader.

The 3 ducati dealers that put this together with ducati of u.s.a. really put a great meet together. we didnt have to pay for gas and had a 7 dollar voucher for food. great burgers at njmp.

I would think they just try to scare you, if you fall and slightly damage it im sure you can just replace whatever broke.

they have tha rule because a guy on a1098 demo day totaled it, in that case he had to pay for the bike. (i suppsoe it stops you form riding over your head)

decided to back off a bit. I did not want to drop the bike let alone fall in my jeans. So i pretty much backed off a bit in the turns.

I actually had ordered my joe rocket pants a week before the event but they didnt make it in time. I could have worn my buddies pants but I didnt want to alarm the ducati execs. I also didnt want to push the bike to its limits and have something happen.

btw it was 2nd gear all the way around the track (go kart track)- pretty smart for ducati.

They almost always are at any track-day event. Full leathers or at the very least a zip-together jacket/pants combo.

A few track day providers around here will let you out with aerostitch type suits but you'd never make it onto a track in jeans.

I'd hate to wreck on the track in textiles though... they aren't made for sliding on that tacky of asphalt.
