Default "Excluded for not meeting minimum weight"? Argh!

What were they thinking!?

Kudos to AGR: they ran a great race, and those Pesky Penske Porsche are not so dominating after all.

Not our best effort at Belle Isle.

Default Can't find any information to say how much they were under...have you

read any info on the weight? Just not like Audi to make a mistake..wonder if something fell off during the race?

Default Well, winning streaks have to end sometime. 30's a nice round number. Luhr

was having trouble all weekend with his car, rough track surface, looked like a handful. At least they secured the title.

Oh yah, just a shame that the streak ends over something completely out of the driver's hands.

I agree with that. Guess that means they do post race weights w/o driver?

Default I believe ALMS LMP1 minimum weight is 25 kilos heavier than the

ACO Le Mans P1 minimum weight.

Default I believe it was due to one more nose change than they had parts for....

so the replacmment nose they used wasn't specifically weighted for the #1

Default The car was excluded because it was 2.5kg too light at the end of the race. This was due to a nose

change.

The noses are hand made and the new style they put on was lighter.

We are not talking about the minimum weights, but how much they were under the weight. The amount was 2.5kg.

Directly from Audi Motorsport:

"The title chase was decided as their teammates Marcel Fässler and Emanuele Pirro, who had originally won the LM P1 class on the "Belle Isle Street Circuit", were excluded after the race. At Technical Scrutineering, the #1 Audi R10 TDI was found to be 2.5 kilograms under the requested 925-kilogram weight limit. Following contact with another car during the morning warm-up session, a spare nose had been fitted which was prepared for both cars, not specifically set-up for the #1 car.
