Folks,

I recently acquired a silver/onyx 2001 A4 1.8T (manual/quattro), and would like to do a little autocrossing/racing for educational and recreational reasons. I am a complete beginner, so I would prefer something newbie-oriented; located in NJ, but willing to travel within the tri-state area if necessary. Is anyone aware of any upcoming events/clinics/schools in the vicinity? I checked the NEAO website, but it doesn't look like anything's in the works.

and there are several events that occur in our area (to me, in our area means 3 - 6 hr drive, mind you) this year. Unfortuneately, you missed several of them already, but one still remains.

There is a Northeast Region QCUSA event at Watkins Glen, NY on August 28 & 29. It is almost sold out so you'll have to move quickly on this if you REALLY want to attend. I will be going.

Other events in the area:
Limerock Park, Conn. - 2.5 hrs
Mid-Ohio, Ohio - 6.5 hrs
Watkins Glen, NY - 3.5 hrs
Summit Point, WV - 4.0 hrs

If you decide to go, let me know and we'll hook-up for the drive up. This weekend it's down to Summit Point for me.
