Interesting weekend, sold the race car and...
ended up being a pace car with the Porsche hehehe.
Dunno about the SRF thing...I guess the only guys I ever see driving them must really suck because they're only slightly faster than the Civic. While being a pace car, there was some confusion and I had to catch up to four cars that originally weren't going to be behind the pace car...half a lap at Buttonwillow in the turbo was an eye opener and reminded me that it's time for a faster race car than the civic was.
Looked at a Radical Clubsport that was in front of a garage sans engine and fell in love but it's a budget buster. Maybe in a couple of years the used Radical market and my budget will intersect.
Then I got the opportunity to drive a Cartham and it was pretty fun...like a Formula Ford with a wierd seat position and better acceleration. Definitely something worth trying out but they don't yet have a proper racing version in the US (though are supposedly working on that).
Guess what we're going to do is rent one of each for a test day to see what we think of them...the guy who bought ole green was a nice guy who had some racing experience and was doing very well running it in an HPDE 3 session so it's nice to see it go to a good home.
