My first auto-x and request for reading material...
Please see the link below for an accounting of my first auto-x in my TT.
I wanted to ask if there are any preferred books on the physics of racing, driving line, etc. Also, anything regarding car setup. I had a lot of tire questions today that I can't begin to analyze.
See my sig for car specs and setup. Pretty much a bone stock 2000 Fwd TT with Mark II suspension and spoiler and RE730 Potenzas.
Thanks very much.<p>Ivan

Tire Pressures, something to try with the RE730's....
I'm running 38 psi on all four corners on the street with my RE730's on my 99.5 Avant. I find that anything below about 36 psi is too soft. You may want to experiment, try 38 up front and 36 in the rear. I know you were thinking of reducing pressures, but I would go the other way and see how it feels.
Even with a 10-15% increase in pressure when warm, on a hot day you'll still be running under the max 44 psi rating with 38/36.<p><a href="http://www.dnai.com/~adamant/a4_avant.htm"><img src="http://www.dnai.com/~adamant/adamsavant1.jpg"></a>
