New garage addition...
got it delivered last night and first thing was de-stickering it. Contemplating using the "off" months until next year repainting it...particularly as my wife (who does all our timing) was having trouble seeing it in stealth silver.
We did a test day on Friday...my co-driver and I ended up doing about 16 laps each through one thing or another (including moving slow due to the heat) and we only got down to the mid 1:54s. This car is supposed to have 1:52's or lower in it and the record for a C-Sports Radical is (which should be faster than the D Sports one I have by a bit) 1:49:5 on this configuration (the absolute D-Sports record is an amazing 1:47 but that's not in this car).
It's funny having left off in 1984 in Formula Mazda (then Formula Russell) and then racing the Civic from 99 till now and then jumping in the Radical. It's all familiar but I have a lot of relearning to do and I was physically unprepared (mainly my neck) so have to work on that. Nice thing was that (as always) Mike (my co-driver) and I were about the same speed so we'll continue to make an ideal enduro team. I'm also fussy and picky about the seating position etc and he isn't at all so I can get myself super-comfortable and he'll be fine with that setup. Something important in a co-driver.
Time to start going through this car nut by nut, screw by screw, fastener by fastener and learning/checking it out.

Oh if only the driveway wasn't that steep :-)

Looks better with no stickers...will look better with a decent paintjob too:

gorgeous. I suppose the Truck lives outside for now?
I'd paint it nice bright yellow or orange. Maybe install those trick LED clusters on the sides like the LeMans prototypes.
Congrats!
Congrats!

actually, Orange is a contender...
I also want to be visible to cars we're passing.
Been going through the body...it's pretty thrashed so I have to mull over the cost of replacement front and back panels in gelcoat vs. all the time and effort of prepping and painting it.

hehe, was thinking more along the lines of the old McLarens...
but I'd hit it ;-P
Was thinking about borrowing Bob Lee's wing to get a color match.

so pretty. I would *need* a driveway or some obstacle like that to prevent me from doing just what
we're all thinking here :-)
