Default Nothing on Speed TV lately. Ugh.

Now that the overseas series are done, we're stuck in that void between Daytona and Sebring. Depressing.

Default Why is there so much of a time gap between when Grand Am races run and when they're broadcast?

I realize that the Grand Am stuff does not draw the numbers you get from NASCAR, but why such a long delay? Put it on at 3AM (instead of infomercials) and I'll TIVO it.

I was glad to have hours of TIVO'ed SCCA Runoffs to hold me over during the cold, dark winter months.

Default And what's the deal with those cars? Do they bear any resemblance to what's on the road?

I realize that they are basically spec racers, but it seems like they have totally abandoned any physical relationship to actual streetcars. The Dodge "thing" is utterly unrecognizable. Is it a Magnum?

Default no kidding...for a while there I had more racing on my Tivo than I could watch...

DTM, British Touring car, A1GP, Dakaar, Aussi V8 Super Car (what NASCAR would be like with real cars and real men driving heh) etc.

The "off" season was better than the regular season on Speed!

Default Brit Touring Car was almost always running in the rain! I tried to get into it...

... but it just didn't grab me. I like DTM (cool drivers, cars). You're right about Aussie V8 supercars. Real racing in real cars.

If anything has a chance at challenging NASCAR in the US, it's Daytona Prototypes.

Default NASCAR NASCAR NASCAR NASCAR NASCAR NASCAR NASCAR NASCAR NASCAR NASCAR NASCAR NASCAR NASCAR NASCAR...

Ever since FOX bought the Speed chanel, it's become Nascar central!!
I hate the fact that they'll spend every night this week talkin' bout' Daytona, it hasn't even hapend yet!!
Then you get the stupid "NBS24" (or whatever) with 2-20 somethings talkin' bout' Nascar (who don't know donkey dick, just some lame actors), then you got the stupid race recaps with the stupid NFL music in the background....
You can see the market segment they're trying to reach... everybody but "REAL" race fans!!

NASCAR IS THE "WALMART" OF RACING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default is speed not airing the 2005 FIA World Touring Car (ex. Euro Touring Car) series?

...they have in teh past, and this year Chevy had a factory effort, so I was excited.

But nothing recorded so far.
