Default Re: Found "official" answer from last year on chipped 1.8Ts. E-Prepared(More)

Howard Duncan's interpretations aren't binding, AFAIK. I've only got the 1997 rule book handy, and it says in the intro to Appendix A that no new turbo cars produced after 1991 will be listed in Prepared. Rather than making me take the 20 mile drive to my garage where my 1999 rule book is, why don't you take this to Team.Net and ask for their opinion? I'm a stock driver, and plead ignorance to the prepared interpretations du jour.

Team.Net subscription instructions

Default I was in E-prepared, but my mods are....

coil-overs
Chip
Slotted brake rotors

The rotors automatically put me in prepared, but I remembering them mentioning a chipped turbo is e-mod.. even though I'm only putting out as much HP as a stock Talon turbo...

Quinland - my A4 site

Default Actually, if I remember correctly any change in boost to a recent turbo car sends you straight to...

E Modified. Talk to the event organizers, some folks have been running in C Street Prepared and Street Touring Unlimited classes. Technically this shouldn't be the case, but it keeps things competitive and as long as you're not dominating the class no one is likely to complain. Be honest and open, you'll have fun no matter what class you're in, unless you've got some great affinity for little trophies.

Regards,
Rodney
