Funny how your memory plays tricks on you - I could swear I remember fuel spilling out of the filler. It looked to me like the gas cap had popped off and the tank was just draining out while you were sittin upside down. I guess I just saw the puddle. At any rate, I remember being pretty concerned about what might happen.

It does teach you a healthy respect, but clearly I'm not smart enough to quit cause I'm getting the replacement car ready for tech this weekend.

...in a different group, but I heard all about it from the Tech guys, some of whom are neighbor/buddies. I still have an ITB car, and it was loaned to a buddy that weekend - white Golf GTi - #88. I'vew been thru the whole ITB gamut - Rabbit, Golf, Scirocco, 'Volvo from Hell' Volvo 142, another Golf - have a long and weird career in ITB, but only use my B car for the occasional giggle.

I was busy having my own 'issues' that weekend. Good thing I buy fibre-glass repair supplies in bulk.
