Default Special treat at Sebring

Looks like Duncan Dayton is going to give us all a special treat at Sebring....

David Brabham will drive his father's '59 season WDC winning Cooper-Climax T51 at Sebring.
Wonder if he'll get out and push it across the line, as Sir Jack did in '59 to secure the championship from Moss and Tony Brooks?

Duncan has paid to bring the car, now owned by Mrs Joel Finn to Sebring.
Great to be able to enjoy seeing the car and kick off Sir Jack Brabhams 50th anniversary year.

I believe this car was at the 100 Years of Grand Prix at Autosport in Birmingham UK a few years back. I'll look around for my cd that I put photos on from the show and and see if it in fact was there.

Fantastic!!

Default You got that right Chris! Here's a photo but a slightly different one . .

Default The car used in the WDC was a rear-engined Coventry-Climax Cooper T51...

But the MOST important thing to remember about Sir Jack is that ...His third title, in a Brabham, made him the only driver to become champion in a car of his own make ! ! !

Define "drive" - the SVRA event doesn't allow open wheeled racers I thought... .
