Where did you buy the external lenses/mics?

How/where did you mount everything?

I know Daphne uses/used the Canon Elura, what is everyone else using as a Digital Camcorder with inputs for external lenses/mics?

Time to go shopping and I need the 4-1-1...

The roof-cam is a PC79XS from Supercircuits. We put the camera mount on a piece of aluminum and duct taped it to the top of the car. As an alternatice, we've also screwed the camera mount into the front bumber. Of course this is a rally car, so duct tape and holes in the bumper are par for the course.

Bumper camera rocks - you look much faster!

I got a color bullet or lipstick camera that has composite video out, and is run from a cigarette lighter adapter from Radio Shack. Works excellent. You stil have to run audio in from a source (I have a low gain microphone in the engine compartment), and a recording device (such as a camcorder). Remember that digi-handicams and the like must have an analog video input somewhere.

Oh, I mount it on the roof. I was mounting it under the front bumper but it looked too video gamish
