Default Two kinds of braking while turning

1. to slow down
2. to tuck in the nose

There are exceptions of course, but #1 is a bad idea at basically all levels of experience.

Default I'm a notorious trailbraker. Ask Morgan. :-). But I also do it to get the schoolbus pointed in...

although, now, I have to REALLY unlearn it with the p-car.

Default I disagree

There are plenty of cases where you will want to trail brake to slow the car. If you want to go fast, then you MUST do this in decreasing radius corners.

Default No need to unlearn

Trail braking in your 996 will do you a lot of good the control the understeer in the car. You do need to be a bit more careful, as the rear engine will snap quicker than the S4, but trail braking is a valuable skill in the Porker.

Default I have to agree with Mark Dalen here...

Trail braking can be the quickest way through a lot of corners...

In a race for an experienced driver. Not for a novice at a DE who needs to drive home in the same car. But as the DE experience grows, so should the level of competence in the car and thus so can (if the driver/owner wants) the level of driving on the edge, including trail braking.

Default I agree too

since Trail Braking is NOT braking in the middle of the turn to slow down.

Zoomer said he turned, then braked.

Default 2 mistakes on your part.

#1: You still had your foot planted on the gas while you could visably see fluid leaking out of the rear of the car. Next time back off move off line and brake. forget about that corner and that lap time, not every lap is going to be fast.

#2: Never get out of your car especially in the place youo where. if you end up there than someone else can. You must have only been 2 car lengths off the track in a place that someone else could have easily slammed into you. I am sure the corner workers became more worried about you walking around than the spill! Why didn't you drive your 100,000 car to a safe place anyway. I don't understand why you even got out of the car in the first place, next time drive to a safe place first. this is the one thing you should learn from driving events..... be safe.

I am not trying to make you angry but I think you are putting to much blame on others safety and not thinking of your own.

PS I feel your pain on the tires that really sucks when you destroy a grand worth in one shot!
