good bite and life... have you ever used carbotech panther xp pads??
I never said it had to be a cheap pad but i know what you mean. the carbotech pad resisted fade, had good bite and lasted for a long time.

They're good pads
I'm on Cobalt pads all the way around now though. Even better, imo. The best setup I've been on yet. I can go seriously deep into braking zones. My poor passengers.
My only complaint about Cobalt pads is that I can never remember the naming scheme. I'm running the GT-R spec VR up front and IT-R spec B in back. I think... Maybe spec C in back.

how are they diffrent then the carbotech panther xp pad.
do you switch the rear pads out for track days also? if so, does it improve brake performance enough to make it worth the effort.

I don't swap pads
But then again, it's a race car. Trailer queen. Race pads all the way around.
It's easier to modulate the Cobalt pads, imo. Also, the coeffecient of friction for the Cobalt pads is higher, and believe me, you will feel it when you lay into it.
Trail braking is really nice with the setup I have. It was too hairy with a few other setups I've tried.

Depends on the car
I really don't know what it would cost for an S4 or Porsche size. It'll be around what a Carbotech XP costs. Less than the European stuff, so don't worry about paying more than for Pagids or Ferodos.
Just give Andie @ Cobalt a call. He's a real nice guy, and won't pressure you into buying. Hell, I spoke to him for over a year before I ever bought anything from him.
