Yeah, the driver complained.
Basically what happened was I took a pass late and had to come off line into the next corner, this guy didn't know what to do and pulls off line and slows down, expecting me to make an illegal pass on him in the corner. I slowed down and fell in behind him, as the last thing I want is to be kicked out and sent home. He then let me pass at the next straight and most likely pitted then to complain.
I thought nothing of it till they black flagged me and heard about it from "Uncle Bill". Then the corner workers vindicated me and I was back out, albeit for another lap before the checkered came out.

yeah it can actually be kind of boring
only one per corner, black flag station(s) or others known to be problematic for off track excursions might get two. And just watching the cars go round and round and round, not like its a race with passing. And as frequently is the case, one or three cars will be significantly faster and just passing everyone.
Radio traffic is kept to a minimum, hpde or ALMS race, at least while cars are on track.

alternatively, the interesting ones to listen to are the instructors at something like Skip Barber
Now they just gab like crazy on the radio, telling jokes and everything. And when the "race" comes up, they do play by play, passing the radio off to the next "corner".
