Here is the list for the cars running in Charlotte on Saturday and NO S4's are listed. Are they going to be there or not? Please let me know. I am still going but really wanted to see some S4's. The new E46 M3 will be there with Hans Stuck at the wheel, he use to pilot the Audi V8 Quattro's back in the early '90's.

Audi Sport UK will have RS4's there.(even betterIMHO)

I assume you're looking at the entry list for the American LeMans series. In the GT class, there are no S4's. There have never been S4's running in this series.

There are S4's entered in the Motorola Cup for the 2000 season. This is a support series that runs with the American Lemans Series (ALMS) and the Grand American Series (GrandAM). They (unfortunately) are not running in Charlotte this weekend. Their next race is in Phoenix on 4/21 I believe.

But, fear not Audi fan --> the first Speedvision World Challenge series race opens this weekend in Charlotte. This series will feature some VERY modified S4's for two very talented drivers. See press release below.

An Audi lover will be VERY happy in Charlotte this weekend with the R8's in ALMS and the new S4's in World Challenge.

AUDI INTRODUCES SPEEDVISION GT S4 COMPETITION: Audi of America, Inc. today announced that it's motorsport division, Audi Sport North America, will be supplying turnkey S4 Competition sedans to customers competing in the Speedvision World Challenge GT Championship.
The S4 Competition will have four-wheel drive and four-doors. The cars are being built by touring car specialists Richard Lloyd of Audi Sport UK. The S4 Competition will come complete with roll cage, racing seat, Alcon brakes, specially designed suspension and a host of components translated from the British Touring car. The S4's will be powered by a European Audi RS4 twin-turbo, 5-valve, V-6 racing engine built to Speedvision GT specs.
"We have adapted our touring car experience to the Speedvision GT rules," said Richard Lloyd, Audi Sport UK. "We are keeping the rear wing, ride height is higher, the driver's pedal box is also adapted from the old touring car, the aero package is slightly changed - but the spirit of the car is the same. The car ran for the first time at Silverstone on March 17th, we think it has the potential to do the business in the Speedvision GT series."
Reigning Speedvision Touring Car Champion Michael Galati and Speedvision in-car commentator Derek Bell are slated to debut the cars at Lowe s Motor Speedway with Champion Racing.
"The Speedvision GT series will be a nice complement to our Sebring 12-hour winning American Le Mans Series effort, said Rod Bymaster, Audi Sport North America Manager. The S4 Competition will also allow us an opportunity to translate some Audi technology head-to-head with our manufacturing competitors. We hope to have a handful of S4's on the track by mid-season."
