with the demise of ALL 4 Peugeots, remember that this is an endurance race. One can not win if one does not finish! Being fastest in qualifying is not important if your car is in the garage at the 24th hour of the race.
Congratulations to the whole Audi Sport team!!!

I woke up to the TV on Speed at 3AM and saw Audi was 1-2-4 and was totally surprised to see how they moved up - back to bed to wake up and see 1-2-3 . Amazing performance

I remember the video Audi put out in 2008's win where Mike crashed the R10.
while not having Peugot at the end made it seemed inevitable, as they say in motorsports: "that's racing". As said above, it's an endurance race, not an all out drag race. Things happen... fatigue, rain, crashes, human error, bad decisions, bad communications; Audi is not immune to it (see last year). But Peugot will be back in 2011.
In the meantime, I applaud specifically Mike Rockenfeller who in 2008, crashed his R10 in the first lap of the race. He has now officially redeemed himself and I feel the torch has been passed on from the older generation to the new generation of drivers. Congrats to Audi. I feel proud to own one of their cars.

I don't feel it's hollow at all. The pugs showed up with 4 cars, they all failed. To me, hollow only applies in situations like Sebring this year when Audi didn't show up. Gotta finish in order to win. Wooot! Great race, watched pretty much the whole thing. Dayum, I'm going to need a Red Bull to make it through work tomorrow. I'm too old to pull an all nighter anymore, but this was worth it.

I can't even explain how I got so glued to it mid afternoon because at that point it wasn't looking too good for Audi. Glad I stuck with it though. Must have been my karma that helped them pull it off, lol.
